SUMMER MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES
CAMPING
Each of the four camps
needs a large number of volunteers during the Summer. The greatest need
is for mature cabin leaders, Program directors and waterfront directors
are also needed. Openings exist for nurses, cooks and handy men. If you
have an interest in camping, consider CSSM's ministry opportunities.

VBS - VACATION
BIBLE SCHOOL
Each summer
one or more teams are sent out to local hes to assist them in conducting their
VBS program. Generally the teams go to churches in smaller communities where
they do not have the personnel resources to hold a VBS or to give their few
teachers a much deserved break. This is an exciting outreach, where you can
feel you are having an impact on young lives.
A VBS is
also a means of reaching into neighbourhoods where children may not have
access to a church VBS or residential Bible Camp ministry. These VBS
ministries are more pioneering in nature and may involve taking the gospel to
areas that have never heard or have been without a gospel witness for decades.
We are
presently putting together our teams for the 2004 summer mininstry.

FULL TIME OPPORTUNITIES IN:
CAMPING
With four camps in operation there are many
opportunities to serve on a full-time basis in camping. From time to time new
camp directors are needed as well there are needs in support roles, such as
maintenance, at many of our camps.
MISSIONARIES
NEEDED IN MIRAMICHI,
NEW BRUNSWICK
Miramichi Bible Camp would be the cornerstone
of this ministry with many opportunities to follow-up on campers and to make
new contacts in the surrounding communities through Bible Clubs, Bible
Studies, etc. Do you have a heart for camp ministry? Do you have managerial
skills and experience? If you do and are interested in this ministry please
contact the Branch Office.
LOCAL
CHURCH MINISTRIES
Beginning with an itinerant
outreach to an area, CSSM seeks opportunities to sow the Seed of Gods Word
through children's and youth ministries as well as ministering to the adult
population. This can result in the drawing together of believers to form
a new congregation. Several areas now exist where one or more couples could
be involved.
ITINERANT
MINISTERS NEEDED
Rather than
focusing on just one town, village or hamlet, the itinerant evangelist covers
a district. Reaching out through home visitation and conducting Bible studies,
Bible Clubs, Youth meetings, etc. on a regular basis at various locations in
order to sow the Seed of Gods Word through children's and youth ministries as
well as ministering to the adult population. This can result in the drawing
together of believers to form a new congregation. Several areas now exist
where one or more couples could be involved in this full-time, New Testament
ministry.
BIBLE
CLUB MINISTRY
There are
many places well suited to a Bible Club ministry. Often homes in urban areas
are open to having a weekday club for neighbourhood children. In certain
areas, particularly in Nova Scotia, it is still possible to teach a Bible
Class in the public school. The Bible Club may be a part of the follow-up
ministry of a Bible Camp, new contact evangelism, or a combination of both.
This is an opportunity to get into an area where the truth of God's Word needs
to be shared and is often well received by the individuals. Do you feel called
to be a part of camp ministry but also teach children the Word of God on a
regular basis? Maybe this is the ministry for you.
NEWFOUNDLAND
MINISTRY
CSSM workers went to
Newfoundland over 50 years ago and taught the Bible in a number of
communities. Throughout the two decades following the initial outreach several
missionaries served there. Now it is time to renew our commitment to take the
Word of God to the people of Newfoundland. Itinerant Ministry and Church
Planting ministry opportunities are ready to be re-established in communities
where CSSM is still recognized as well as in new communities.
We are presently forming a team to minister on the Northern Peninsula for the
summer of 2004.
