The purpose of CSSM Ministries is to present and promote the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, primarily to the otherwise unreached in Canada, to the end that the lost shall be evangelized, and that the Christian believers shall be taught and strengthened in the faith.

To accomplish this, the mission establishes, develops and promotes those ministries that, under the blessing and direction of God, most adequately will fulfill the stated purpose. Those ministries which we have in Atlantic Canada are briefly described below.

Do you have children in your community who need to hear the good news of the gospel? Does your church need help in running your VBS? Each summer CSSM Ministries Atlantic Branch seeks to assemble and equip ministry teams who travel to local churches to assist with the running of a VBS. We also look for communities where there is no gospel witness to hold a VBS ministry, especially communities where there is no residential Bible camp ministry. Contact us if you would like us to minister at your church or in your community.

This graded Bible study course, designed for follow-up of camps and VBS, combines daily Bible reading, Bible study, and Bible memorization. Awards are given on the successful completion of lessons and memory work assignments. Contact our Branch Office if you would like to take this course or check it out with the following link.

Many times there are opportunities to teach the Word of God right in the communities where our missionaries live or in outlying communities. Presently our Atlantic Branch missionaries are ministering in five Children's Bible Clubs and Adult Bible Studies not connected with a local church. Would you like a Bible Club or Bible Study started in your area, maybe right in your own home? You can contact our Branch Office or the missionary in your area.

A natural outcome of the diversified ministry of CSSM is the planting of local churches in areas where no other evangelical witness exists. CSSM Ministries in Atlantic Canada has had a various number of church plants in the process of growing to be on their own. Presently Kensington Community Church in Prince Edward Island is in that growth process. There is a service held each Sunday Evening in a local hall and a Bible Study each Wednesday night in our missionary's home.

In Atlantic Canada there are still opportunities to teach the Bible in public schools within the Education Act and more specifically in religion classes. Presently we have missionaries who are ministering in various ways in their local public schools. As missionaries we also try to take the opportunity to get involved with and/or begin clubs outside of class time for the study of God's Word in our local schools.

It is the goal of CSSM Ministries to work with the local church to reach the otherwise unreached. One way of doing that is to make ourselves available to help in the training of individuals who particularly minister to children and teens. If we can be of any help in this area please contact the Branch Office or the Missionaries indicated on the "Staff " page.

Would you like to start a puppet ministry at your local church or would you like to be involved in one yourself? Andrew and Tanya Dorey are our missionaries in the Atlantic Branch to call. Andrew says this about their puppets. "The puppets are really great for getting everyone's attention with lots of color, action, and music. The puppets try to do actions and sing along with the children as well as perform on their own. With the help of signs, props and lighting technique they can really come alive. Puppets are of our greatest enjoyment, having made each of the puppets ourselves they each have a personality of their own and are a real part of our family."

If you would like to have the Dorey's help you develop a puppet ministry you can contact them with the information on the CSSM Branch Staff page.

As a mission we look for opportunities to inform believers in Christ about the ministries that God has called us to do. Many times that will be as a guest speaker in a local church. The missionaries on the "Staff" page will be able to help you out at your local church in some way. Whether it is through sharing in a public service what their ministry is with CSSM or in a specialized way. If you need someone to speak at a children's group, teach a Teen Bible Study, hold children's evangelistic services, teach children for a missionary conference, or for pulpit supply, please contact us to se haw we can help.
