Summer camp-an annual event for many children and just a dream for many others. Every summer each of our six Atlantic Camps receive requests from families for financial assistance to send their children to camp. The requests are always greater than the funds. Many times our camps use already tight operating funds so that no child misses out on camp. Out of a desire to help children and teens attend one of our camps, the Cycle for Campers fundraiser was born. In four years over 160 campers have been sponsored.
The goal for Cycle for Campers is to provide $100
scholarships for needy campers wishing to attend a CSSM Atlantic Camp. That sponsorship money will be available to campers through one of our six camps. The Camp Director completes a “needs” application on the camper’s behalf and then forwards the application to the Branch Office for the funds to be sent to the camp.
